17:34 the way we can tackle more mature issues
17:36 and, you know, from-
17:38 from unique, diverse perspectives.
17:41 It's like... I think it's everything
17:44 that people are gonna want to see.
17:45 Mm. Let's take a quick look
17:47 at some of what the new series has in store.
17:50 In five... four... three... two.
17:55 [beeping]
17:56 Hey, guys. Miranda Cosgrove here.
17:58 This is the Jerry Trainor.
17:59 [laughing] We look great.
18:04 We wanted to tow a line
18:05 between, you know, the familiar and the new,
18:08 because it can't just be the same old thing.
18:10 I'm finally going to be back online where I belong.
18:14 We'll help, however we can.
18:15 And as soon as we got here
18:17 and got on set and started doing things,
18:18 everything just felt like it did.
18:22 Welcome to the new iCarly.
18:25 I got you.
18:29 Ba bam!
18:30 Who wants a Carly meatball face t-shirt?
18:32 Mark.
18:33 Thought I was early,
18:34 but there are so many people here.
18:36 They're servers.
18:38 I had them dress like guests so my friends wouldn't be all,
18:40 "Ooh, look at Spencer with his waiters
18:42 in his remodeled apartment
18:43 in his Swarovski crystal boxer briefs."
18:46 Still just a regular guy.
18:47 I clearly did it all wrong.
18:49 Pursued my dreams, married for love,
18:51 two divorces and a failed start up later,
18:53 I'm back living with my mom.
18:55 It's unique. It's new dynamics.
18:57 It's new problems, new funny situations.
19:00 Thank you for teaching me a moral lesson.
19:03 It's better than any gift you could've ever gotten me.
19:07 Here, take the keyboard.
19:09 You're so easy. [laughing]
19:13 Wasn't suppose to catch on fire, was it?
19:16 Never is.
19:17 Ah! Tickles!
19:19 Is this another one of your man me downs?
19:22 Did we?
19:24 - Oh. - Here we go!
19:26 Oh!
19:28 Oh, I think he needs a lot more.
19:29 - Some more? - No, that's enough alread--
19:33 I'm not unamused.
19:34 I'm full on amused.
19:36 Are we all looking at the same thing?
19:38 [everyone] To Carly!
19:39 This is so exciting.
19:41 You can really taste the gold.
19:43 It's everything.
19:46 That's great.
19:47 Incredible.
19:49 So, is that your first time seeing that
19:50 - put together like that? - Yeah.
19:52 What has Carly been up to for the last ten years?
19:55 Um, apparently, Carly stayed in Italy for a while
19:57 with her dad. Before she came back,
19:59 she went to college, and in the pilot,
20:02 she's starting up her show again for the first time.
20:04 What makes Carly want to start the show back up?
20:06 She hasn't ever really had anything that was just hers.
20:11 She's always had a co-host,
20:12 and she's never really had to stand
20:14 just on her own two feet.
20:15 You're not living with Spencer in the show anymore.
20:17 You're no longer living with your older brother.
20:19 No, I have my own apartment
20:20 - with Harper, Laci's character - Thank God.
20:22 we're roommates, but we live in the same building
20:25 with Freddie and Spencer.
20:27 And Freddie, who's your roommate again? Just so we can hear it.
20:29 Just one more time. [laughing]
20:31 Cheap seats.
20:32 M-my mother. [laughing]
20:34 Look. Your mom. Your mom.
20:36 What? I didn't hear it.
20:37 My mother! [laughing]
20:38 Who else?
20:39 And the most cherished part of my life,
20:42 the- the dear, delightful Millicent.
20:45 Yes. [laughing]
20:46 Millicent seems to have a love, hate, hate, hate, hate,
20:48 hate relationship with a lot of people on the show.
20:51 That's a good way to describe it. Yeah.
20:53 And Jerry, your character, now rich.
20:55 - Yeah. - What's the same though?
20:57 That's about it. The emotional depth
20:58 has not changed at all. [laughing]
21:00 He lucked into a bunch of money, and he's gotten somehow dumber.
21:05 [laughing]
21:07 Is tuxedo girl coming back?
21:09 Is she available? [laughing]
21:11 I don't know.
21:13 What are you all most excited to show fans in this new season?
21:17 I think we've had a lot of fun,
21:19 and I think that, I hope that's going to come through.
21:20 And I hope that the people that watch are going to laugh
21:22 and have a good time like they did
21:23 when they watched the original series.
21:26 I'm excited to show people a side of these characters
21:29 that is just as funny as it was,
21:31 but much smarter and more mature.
21:33 I'm excited for people to see, like all the Cam.
21:36 Because, like when I think of iCarly, I think of Cam.
21:39 Jaidyn.
21:40 Um, I think definitely the different personalities
21:43 and how they all like connect with each other.
21:47 Nathan.
21:48 Just that blend of- of old and new coming together,
21:50 a lot of nostalgia,
21:52 a lot of nostalgia and bringing people back
21:54 from the old show guest stars that we had,
21:57 a lot of familiar faces,
21:59 but even just taking those people and showing them
22:01 in a completely different light. It's this really cool thing
22:04 we're trying to do where it's the same universe
22:06 but with massively broadened horizons.
22:09 We've covered so much, and yet we've only scratched
22:11 the surface of all the ways we loved the original iCarly.
22:15 Thankfully, the series is right around the corner.
22:17 I want to thank Laci Mosley
22:19 and Jaidyn Triplett for joining us today.
22:21 And, of course, thank you to Nathan Kress, Jerry Trainor
22:24 and Miranda Cosgrove.
22:25 Make sure to watch the new iCarly
22:27 on Paramount Plus, June 17th.
22:30 Whoo!
