For

For + a period of time in the past, present, or future: for + [과거, 현재, 미래] 기간

  • He lived in Gwangju for 5 years and then he moved.
  • We have lived in Gwangju for a couple of months.
  • They are goint to stay in Seoul for 5 days and then they are going to Gwangju for a day.

 

Since

Since + a point in time in the past: since + 과거의 한 시점

  • She has lived in Gwangju since 1980.
  • They have lived in Seoul since they were born.
  • I have grown up with my pet since I was a kid.
