For
For + a period of time in the past, present, or future: for + [과거, 현재, 미래] 기간
- He lived in Gwangju for 5 years and then he moved.
- We have lived in Gwangju for a couple of months.
- They are goint to stay in Seoul for 5 days and then they are going to Gwangju for a day.
Since
Since + a point in time in the past: since + 과거의 한 시점
- She has lived in Gwangju since 1980.
- They have lived in Seoul since they were born.
- I have grown up with my pet since I was a kid.
